2010
Greetings and we wish you already had a great start of the New Year.
The preparation of the Conference has entered its final dash to the
finish line. Everyone involved has his/her adrenaline pumped up. We
realize you will be expecting an experience with a quality matching
that established by past MEMS conference and we strive to deliver
just that.
This year we have produced a Program Guide that contains a short
abstract for each paper. We hope this will help you plan you
conference schedule. While a high-resolution hardcopy will be
provided when you check in at the registration counter, a
reduced-resolution version is available for download.
We wish you a pleasant journey to Hong Kong and look forward to
seeing you real soon.

Greetings!
The members of the Technical Program Committee (TPC) met as scheduled
on September 24 and 25 at the beautiful campus of the University of
Tokyo. This meeting was the culmination of weeks of intense reading
by the 30 TPC members of the 885 submissions.
Each and every one of the submissions was thoroughly and rigorously
discussed at the meeting. The TPC was impressed by the high quality
of the submissions and difficult choices had to be made. At final
tally, a total of 299 (33.7%) were selected for presentation at the
Conference; 25 of these will be presented in single-oral sessions, 50
in parallel-oral sessions and 224 in poster sessions. We will soon
post the program on the Conference web site.
For the Conference in 2010, we will be experimenting with the
inclusion of parallel sessions. While the format is not new, it is
certainly a first for our Conference. Single sessions are retained
for papers judged to have a more general appeal. So there will be a
bit of a mix of the "old" and "new" formats. We
will love to hear your feedback on this change.
Last but not least, we would like to take this opportunity to thank, once
again, all the authors for their submissions. From these, we have
built a truly outstanding program for the Conference. We look forward
to seeing all of you in Hong Kong in January 2010.
We will continue to use this corner of the Home Page to update you on
the preparation of the conference. Please do stay connected!
